El real decreto de 1916 y su repercusión en Aragón

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido hacer un recorrido histórico del Proyecto de Re­forma de 1906 y su incidencia en el territorio aragonés. Se han utilizado para ello di­versas fuentes de información (boletines oficiales, prensa, expedientes de archivo, repositorios en Internet, etc.) con el fin de documentar el proceso y analizar cuántos municipios se vieron afectados, qué nuevas denominaciones se propusieron, si éstas prevalecieron en el Real Decreto de 1916, y qué cambios se produjeron en los Reales Decretos inmediatamente posteriores. Se presenta, finalmente, la evolución en la de­nominación de todos estos municipios hasta la actualidad y su desaparición o integra­ción en el actual Nomenclátor Geográfico de Aragón.

Abstract

The aim of this paper has been to trace the historical development of the 1906 Reform Project and its impact on the region of Aragon. Several sources of information (e.g. Official Gazettes, newspapers, archives, and repositories on the Internet) have been used to assess the number of municipalities affected, the new names proposed, whether these initial proposals remained unchanged in the Royal Decree of 1916, the changes implemented in the subsequent regulations; and, finally, the evolution of the name given to some of these municipalities as well as their current status in the list provided by the Geographical Gazette of Aragon.
